I have known a few people who wants to live in Sun City and is looking for a Sun City Realtor who would help them get a house. I would like to share some insights on where to find one. If you are looking for a realtor, and can’t seem to find one yet, you can try these steps. It worked well for others so it might work well for you .
First, Ask around. You can’t find a realtor by just sitting around and wait for them to fall from heaven. Start to ask family and friends if they have somebody to recommend. Ask your friends who their realtor was and asked them how was the realtor. Keep on asking around until you will find the one that would suite best for you basing on the sharing’s from your friends. Ask as many as you can and decide based on those referrals. By using someone that was successful for your family or friends, I know you will most likely be satisfied as well.
Second, make sure that you meet the Realtor first. Before you decide to get the realtor, make certain that you get acquainted with him first and see if you will be comfortable around him or her. You would be spending a lot of time with this person when either buying or selling a house so finding a personality that you like is critical for you to have successful relationship with your realtor. In your first meeting, try not to make it too formal so you can see who he is as a person and not just as a realtor.
Third, ask him how he markets a home for sale and how he finds listings for buyers. There are some Realtors who specialize in certain areas or neighborhoods. A Sun City Realtor is an expert in Sun City and retirement communities. It is very helpful to have this agent when you are looking to buy a house in a certain neighborhood that this Realtor works in. He tends to know the most about the neighborhood.
Fourth, attend open houses. Finding a realtor while he is doing something for another client is a great way to tell how that realtor would work. Observed him on how he works and more or less get the idea on how he would work for you. Check on how active the agent is during the open house and how hard he works to sell the house. Ask him questions and observe how confidently he answers them. You will know if this realtor is doing his homework. Confidence and Knowledge that this realtor possesses would help you decide if you will get him as your realtor.
Lastly, if those steps did not work for you, then it’s time to check for references and request for a referral. Call a local Realtors office and ask for a referral. You may also check online in various websites. Checking with your local board of Realtors to see if any complaints have been filed against this person is not a bad idea as well.
