How does a rent to contract work to buy a house?
Is this the same as a land contract and the contract for the contract?
Be very careful with this type of operation. Make sure the contract states that it is a transaction of this type because if the owner get to court or the government comes, they can take home and you get nothing. Also make sure that if you're late to the house automatically becomes the owner and all you pay is rent. I had a guy try this when I tried to buy his house. If I were a day later all the money paid the rent and I have nothing at all home repairs were confiscated. The best advice to get a lawyer to read and explain everything to you! It was more of a contract for land, or other contract, as they tend to have more legal ground to stand. Make sure the seller is to put all or most of their rental property and not your pocket everything.
