If you sell your home as a FSBO to get the maximum out of your home mortgage as possible. The only way to pay someone a real estate commission to sell your home or present someone to buy your house is that you sign a contract with a broker to do so. Because someone has signed a contract with a realtor to help show and find a home to purchase has nothing to do with you. The person signing the contract is obliged to pay anyone they hire to work with them on a commission basis. The theory goes by the Management Board and the other is that the seller would be better to pay half of a committee to oppose a full commission. Is hogwash.
