First, have you looked in the obvious places? Under the mattress, boxes in the closet and the garage, below or at the buffet (remove the drawers as well.) Check box gloves and trunks of vehicles. Passed through the books to see if a document has been caught in? Insurance is also a common form. To find if there one, call the bank (s) accountable and ask them. If you do not have the key, which are usually large aluminum or silver, and read not double, then it is possible need to obtain a court order to open the bank. If you have a checkbook, look through them to see if everything was done to a lawyer or law firm. If the name sounds familiar, you may see your name in the yellow pages to see if he is an attorney. Try talking to some friends, they might have witnessed the will or told about his will. Call Centre local court and ask the Division of Estates, and see if there was a will (the law allows a person in the file.). In addition, searches through his writings, if you find cards that do not seem to know or have lawyers on them, call them and tell them the situation and ask if you wrote will or reference to any person. If not, then just sat in the yellow pages and call local businesses and lawyers, in some villages around to see if any of them could have handled his case. Hope this helped and good luck. The following website will give you other information about wills or lack thereof in accordance with the laws of Texas.
