Where can I find apartments accepting the children’s advantage voucher in The Bronx, New York?
I’ve been searching for a 2 bedroom apartment that accepts the children’s advantage voucher for $1070.00 in the bronx, NY for almost 3 weeks now and im hitting a dead end. Can anyone please tell me where landlords are accepting this program in the bronx or real estate offices that have listings that are accepting this voucher? It is extremely difficult to find a 2 bedroom for this amount but I have to keep searching. I always go to craigslist and always hit a dead end. Can anyone help me please????? I really want to stay in the bronx, but am willing to move to manhattan that’s it. I know beggers cant be choosey, but im trying to stay close to my family. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
You need to look at the NYCA website at :
http://www.nyc.gov/html/nycha/html/home/home.shtml
and check the section 8 listings since the shelter vouchers morph into section 8 within a year. Someone there should be able to steer you in the right direction.
You know you can get furniture from their distribution program too.
