I can sell my house "by owner." What should I take after an offer is made?

Only consider an offer that comes along with a deposit of 1% (States have different rules re: Tank of … you should ask a salesperson what the local rules) and ask the buyer to offer with the approval of the mortgage verified (This avoids disappointment later.) The deposit is not * yours. It should go into an account separate escrow until closing. You will be legally responsible for it, so do not give anything for granted until the deal is done! If the offer is acceptable, and these conditions are met, make sure you know the time when the buyer wants an answer, and then acceptance. Ask when the closing will be (or have a specific date, if you have a date you need.) Call the office and put a title to which want to close. You can in conjunction with the buyer, depending on the situation. And do not forget to talk with their own engines, etc, so you're ready to go.
